AUDITION
My
Philosophy

At the core of my coaching is a deep belief that every voice is unique and that with the right guidance, every performer can unlock their full potential. Drawing from my decades of experience in Hollywood and as a working narrator, my approach to coaching blends technical expertise with an empathetic, personalized touch. I focus on providing practical tools that are not only immediately usable but also sustainable.
I believe that true growth happens when you feel safe to experiment, take risks, and embrace play. It’s in those moments of exploration that we discover new layers of performance and deepen our artistry. My coaching isn’t just about refining techniques; it’s about helping you find your voice, reignite your passion, and equip you with skills that will serve you in every audition and performance thereafter.
My goal is to have you walk away from each session feeling confident and empowered. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, my commitment is to help you grow, evolve, and feel confident in your auditions. Your success is my success, and together, we’ll make magic happen.

What People Say...

I can happily attest to how wonderful Maria is as a coach. Utterly brilliant and deeply kind, too.
Keith Brown
Maria helped me look at non-fiction in a totally different way that made my audition more personal and meaningful. Not only did I book that job, I also gained tools during our session that I've been able to use in every audition since!

Finlay Stevenson

“After just a few minutes together, Maria unlocked a sense of play and experimentation. Working with her is fun and when I’m alone in my booth later remembering her notes and smiling, my confidence swells. Great coaching side effects!”
Theresa Bakken

Maria coached me to one of my best performances EVVVERRRRRR, and I am so thankful.
Gillian Williams
Maria´s passion is contagious and she radiates creative energy. She knows how to teach constructively and her talent, experience, and engaging personality will take your narration skills to the next level. I highly recommend her as a coach.
Colette Pepperell
I’ve been a performer and around world-class musicians my whole life. One of Maria’s strengths is not only can she perform herself, from all her experience in Hollywood for so many years, but she can also explain it to others and help them become good at it. That’s a secondary art that I don’t often run into.

Don Baarns
Maria is an incredible coach. One of her biggest gifts is that she empowers you with real tools that you can replicate when you're alone in your booth. You'll never have to think again, "I don't remember how I did what I did in my session." She's magic!
